Fitness Friday: Week 53

It’s Friday! Already? Or really what took it so long to get here? Last night I kept thinking it was Friday night. But, it’s now Friday and the first full week of the year I had hoped for good things, but I did not accomplish them. My middle daughter who has to get the bus before 6 a.m. every morning has been home all week sick. I thought she had strep, but it was *just* viral and a good chance it was mono. She was going to go back to school yesterday, but then we realized she had a day off for Friday anyways so we just made it the week. And since I wasn’t getting up before the crack of dawn every morning my morning workout went by the wayside yet again. So I’m hoping next week we get a redo.

Fitness Friday: Week 52

I have missed Fitness Friday for 2 weeks and as you can imagine they probably weren’t the best of weeks. The last week of school I got a terrible cold so I wasn’t working out then and then the week of Christmas was well the week of Christmas.

But it’s a new year. I started Fitness Friday one year ago with high hopes. And I was doing really good there, but now not so much. I am still overweight which I need to work on. My goal for the new year is to get out of the over weight category. I will start my daily workouts again on Monday. I need to make more of an effort to eat better as well. Fitness Friday: Week 50

What a week. It started out rough with weather related delays and falling on the ice. I’m okay, just been a little sore. I sure got a great workout shoveling snow Tuesday. I’ll be getting another workout of the same magnitude over the weekend. Got a few other work outs in this week, but not the greatest at committing.

Fitness Friday: Week 49

So the last few weeks I’ve said I have been struggling, but this week I did it. I worked out 4 out of the 5 weekdays. In spite of my husband getting sick and the million other things going on, I forced myself (yes each day I did have to force it) to work out. It was tough the first day after not working out in over a week. Not as bad as the very first time I started doing this, but I was definitely more winded, but it got much better. I really still despise doing these workouts. I don’t think I’ll ever like it, but I am proud of myself for pushing through. Usually when I stop, I don’t go back to it.

Fitness Friday: Week 48

I thought about skipping this post this week all together and saying it was a Thanksgiving break, but then I was like that will mess up my weekly counting. Needless to say it was a bad week. I didn’t do my workout at all this week. I started out the week with a terrible headache that I could not shake for three days. Then with running everyone to and fro I was completely exhausted in the mornings and just couldn’t get myself to workout.

On Monday I’m back to a regular schedule for 3 full weeks so hopefully I don’t get taken out by another debilitating headache. And aside from my upcoming baking (which will do me in when I start that) I should start eating a little better for the time being anyways as well.

Fitness Friday: Week 47

I’m calling this week a total wash. In all honesty I don’t know that next week is going to be much better. I don’t want to make excuses either. I worked out officially, once this week. Between blogging deadlines and work deadlines and late school buses and just not feeling well the workouts have been what has gotten cut. And I know I need to make this more of a priority. I need to make myself more of a priority, but it just didn’t happen this week. And I’m really bummed about that because next week is Thanksgiving and I’m going to be even more pressed for time. I came home from getting my middle daughter on the bus shortly after 6 this morning and just crashed on the couch. I’m just exhausted and I can’t seem to get myself moving. I hate to say it will happen and I really hope I’m not getting myself into an ugly habit here, but what can I do at this point, it just did not happen this week. I will have to fight harder to make it happen next week. That’s all I can do.

Fitness Friday: Week 46

TGIF! What a crazy week this was. I am looking forward to climbing into my bed tonight and spending more than 5 hours in it, that’s for sure. The early mornings get harder and harder as the days go on.

But I did slightly better with my working out. I seem to have lost my workout buddy. She has been harder and harder to get up and join me so I have stopped asking. I still feel like I’m just going through the motions here though. Not seeing many results. That could be because of my eating habits at this point. Something I’m definitely going to have to take a long hard look at to see what can be changed.

Fitness Friday: Week 45

It has been a whirlwind of a week. I wish I could say fitness wise it was a good one. I did lose weight, in the form of hair.

I worked out 3 out of the 5 weekday weeks this week. Not exactly what I strive to do. I hope I can push myself to do more next week. I have been avoiding the kids Halloween candy and I have only had cake a few times this week so that’s a good thing. That is about all I have this week though.

Fitness Friday: Week 44

Friday already? This week has flown by. Now it’s my son’s 6th birthday, tomorrow is my birthday and head shaving. Hard to believe.

So lets get on with Fitness Friday. So my week hasn’t been the best for fitness. I skipped exercising more times than I care to admit (but will for the sake of full disclosure here) twice. Of course now we’ve got candy galore in the house and soon to have cake up to our eyeballs. That’s going to be a fun temptation.

I’m totally retaining water this week too. Ugh, really a bad week for fitness. Did you do better than me? How are you doing saying “no” to the candy? You don’t have cake in your house too, do you?

Fitness Friday: Week 43

I am so happy it’s Friday. We have a lot of fun stuff planned for this weekend. Plus my husband starts his vacation. I kind of have dreams of him taking some of my early mornings and bringing our middle daughter to her bus stop before 6 a.m., but I think that’s all they are is dreams. So not entirely a vacation coming up for me, but at least he’ll be here to help with the kids during the day and I do have a sort of “Honey Do” list for him to tackle. After our move there have just been some things he hasn’t gotten around to since he was working. So we shall see.

But anyways, the fact that he probably won’t get up early for me to bring our daughter to school might be a good thing because otherwise I probably wouldn’t work out. There were a few times this week I had to reason with myself to get er done. And I did do it. Can’t really say I have been happy that I did, I’m rather indifferent to working out at this point. Much like most of my morning routine I have just become indifferent to. I’m doing these things because I have to and counting down until the weekend.
