Well, last night was quite the adventure for our first week of book club. Seemed I was having some server problems coupled with different chat problems. So if anyone tried to join us last night, but couldn’t find us I do apologize. We were bouncing around trying to find a place that was working for everyone. Ultimately we never did get to fully discuss the book.
So after much debate, I do want to move forward, but I would hate to miss out on discussing the book. So I have decided next week we will discuss Bossypants again right here same time, same station (hopefully with better reception) and we will also discuss the book that I have decided we would read next week. I made the decision based on the choices of those who did attempt to chat with us last night. I think everyone will enjoy it though.
What Is Next Weeks Book?
So I would like for everyone to at least get through half of the book Us by Michael Kimball for next week as well. And then we will discuss the 2nd half at a later date which is to be determined (because I am going away the following week). So we will meet here Monday night (July 9) at 9 pm EST to try to discuss Bossypants in more detail again and to hopefully get in some discussion of Us. And then I will keep you posted on what we’ll do for the following week. It’s all going to depend on the kind of internet connection I will have where we’re going. I will do my best to keep you up to date. Basically at that point if you don’t hear from me then it’s a safe assumption that I don’t have a good internet connection, or that the children took my husband and I down on the drive to our destination, ha. If you do fear that that is the case then please do send help.
Again, I do apologize for the problems from last night. We have to live and learn though right? There was no other way for me to know how any of the chats I tried were going to work until I tried them. Lucky you all get to be my guinea pig.
